Chapter 2.20 is the 23rd chapter of Volume 2.

Ceria is attacked by the Frost Faeries. Ryoka defends her and is chased away. Krshia catches the thief, who burns Krshia's shop down.

Ryoka agonizes over the classes/level system, but doesn't come to a final conclusion yet. She visits Ceria upstairs and learns that the half-elf is interested in Olesm. Ryoka assures her that Erin is not interested - and then learns more about the magic system, and gets practice with the [Light] spell. Caria demonstrates that she is getting some control back over her skeletal hand.

Downstairs in the common room, Frost Faeries enter the inn and make a mess, claiming they have standing invitation to do so and that throwing them out or harming them would violate ancient guest right rules. Ryoka informs Erin not to make deals with Faeries. An attempt to appease the fair folk with sugar milk fails, and when they brutalize Ceria, Ryoka punches one of them. This leads to the Faeries chasing Ryoka while she dashes away from the inn.

Rags and Toren appear next, as well as Relc and Klbkch, who has brought over twenty workers for chess training. Erin recognizes that forcing the Antinium to learn chess is not going to make them Individuals. After the entire scene plays out (compare the previous chapter that shows Rags' parallel PoV), Erin is left in the common room again, alone with Toren.

In Liscor's marketplace, Krshia has lured the thieving [Princess] into a trap. The delinquent manages to set Krshia's shop on fire, but is ultimately caught.
