Lesegoth, also known as the City of Shields, is a fallen Walled City [1]

Lesegoth was the most defensive city that the Drakes have ever built. Dragons failed to take it, and even the current standing Walled City of Manus could not compare to its defenses.[1]
The Trial of Shields was an automated magical maze that safely trained applicants in several combat professions. It is still semi-functional, but much deadlier due to damage and sabotage by Bograms.[2]

For reasons currently unknown, Lesegoth was besieged by countless armies for over three decades. At the end, the highest-levelled individuals—and immortal beings— launched an entire volcano at it.[1] However, Lesegoth survived, so the greatest [Alchemist] of that time implemented a grand experiment that caused every scrap of metal in the City of Shields -including the elements in the body- to explode when exposed to the air.[1] Even then, the City of Shields stood defiant, refusing surrender when offered. It finally fell to a Tier 9 spell launched by the combined enemy armies.[1]
Currently what's left of the Lesegoth is in the Crossroads of Izril.[3]
