The Steelfur Tribe is a well known Gnoll tribe.

The Steelfur Tribe is a newly-founded and traditionalist Gnoll tribe. It is famous for the metal fur of its members, granted by their Chieftain's Skill.[1] They are a powerful tribe, one of the better tribes at combat and warfare because of this skill.
They sell this fur and make light armor out of it. Their Steelcloth is heavier than leather, but a bit lighter than actual chainmail and more flexible. It's a bit weaker than actual steel.[1] [2]They rarely offer trade concessions to any tribe but the larger ones.[3]

The tribe was founded upon the Skill of Iraz Steelfur. They were founded on Mount Semis, where Steelfur warriors hone their bodies and their climbing skills.[4]
Chronology[edit | edit source]
At the Meeting of the Tribes, Steelfur warrior came to aid members of the Decles Tribe when they objected to a human entering the inner camps. Iraz Steelfur, along with other Chieftains of the tribes involved, came to put a stop to the fighting.[2]
Iraz and Steelfur later had a debate with Werri and the Woven Bladegrass Tribe.[5]
Adetr Steelfur, through use of his Skill on Rose, learned about Earth, and the information then had to be shared with Iraz before it was revealed to the other tribes.[4]
Iraz went to discuss a trade agreement with Chieftain Mrell of the Demas Metal Tribe.[3]Later, Iraz, Adetr, Werri, Feshi, Garsine Wallbreaker and Chieftain Reizet of Az'muzarre questioned Rose and discussed the potential threat posed by Earth.[6]
When the Drake armies advanced on the Meeting of the tribes, Steelfur split their forces to engage on different fronts, north and south.[7]The defense in the north was successful, but the one in the south failed.[8]
When a white Gnoll was discovered at the Meeting of the Tribes, the Steelfur Tribe minus Adetr sided with Plain's Eye's stance that Doombringers should be killed.[9]When the fighting started, they attacked the tribes that had chosen to protect Mrsha.[10]When the Drake armies attacked, Chieftain Iraz was slain by Manus' Dragonspeaker Luciva Skybreath, taking away the metal fur from every tribe member save Adetr.[11]
Strength[edit | edit source]
As the warriors of the tribe have metal fur, it makes them more resilient in battle. Plus they wear cloth made out of said fur on top, giving them further defense. While not nearly as strong as the greatest tribes, they are considered mighty. They believe that an unbreakable body and an indestructible heart are all one needs to win any battle.

- It makes them more vulnerable to electrocution via lightning.[10]
- Because it is tied to the Skill of their Chieftain, the skill will disappear if he dies save for those who were granted metal fur from their own Skill, and it will leave them vulnerable.[11]
