First Appearance |
Inkar is an Earther from Kazakhstan who was teleported to Izril and fell in with the Longstalker’s Fang Tribe.
Appearance[edit | edit source]
Inkar wears dyed, exquisitely ornate clothing, a replica of traditional patterns from her home and an embroidery of a solar system made by a [Magic Spinner] and inlaid with Waisrabbit fur. She has a cap lined with Shockwoolie wool, with her home's flag and Longstalker's Fang stitched on.
Personality[edit | edit source]
Inkar is kind-hearted and resilient. She possesses great fortitude, able to survive in the wilderness by herself for nearly a month before stumbling into the Longstalker's Fang Tribe. Despite not being used to a non-Human species, she was able to ingratiate herself with the Gnolls, even becoming an honored member amongst them.[1]
Background[edit | edit source]
Before coming to Innworld, Inkar lived in Kazakhstan. She lived outside of cities, and had family members that were more nomadic, so she fit in well with the Plains Gnolls that found her when she made it to Innworld.[1] She was transported as she was taking a train to travel home. She had been lost in the Great Plains for almost a week and had been forced to cannibalize her smartphone to start a fire before Longstalker’s Fang had found her. They did not like her at first, and many of the [Spinners] bullied her when she showed Deskie how to make a spinning device without working as hard until she apologized for invalidating their classes and levels.[2] Eventually she earned the tribe's respect and was granted the title of Honored.
Chronology[edit | edit source]
Volume 7[edit | edit source]
Inkar teleported to Innworld in the middle of the Gnoll Plains and was found and adopted by the Longstalker's Fang Tribe. As thanks for this hospitality, Inkar told the tribe of her home world and they took her to the Meeting of the Tribes to share this knowledge. Along the way, her tribe met another, the Greenpaw Tribe, who also had some knowledge of Earth having found a large part of a downed airplane that had been teleported to Innworld. She met with one other tribe and then finally made it to the Meeting of the Tribes.
Volume 8[edit | edit source]
Unfortunately for Inkar, the Meeting of the Tribes was a gnoll event and while other species are allowed in, there are complicated restrictions on where they can go especially when her existence as an Earther is meant to be secret. She waited for a few days, but eventually ventured out on her own into the moot. Quickly after heading out though, Inkar got lost in the sea of gnolls. She found herself in the inner section where humans are not allowed. She used her waisrabbit teleportation to get back to the outer areas and landed near a disguised Lehra Ruinstrider and her team. They weren't the only ones to have spotted Inkar, though. She was soon apprehended by Decles Tribe gnolls who had seen her in the inner camps. Before she could be taken away, Orr, a member of Longstalker's Fang who was supposed to watch her, found her once more and tried to bring her back. The Decles Tribe gnoll wouldn't let Inkar go and the conflict quickly escalated. Tkrn came to try and enforce his idea of the law by protecting Inkar, Steelfur members attacked him, and more people joined the fight as the original reason for it got more and more jumbled. Eventually, Lehra revealed herself by donning her armor and that along with the chieftains arriving made things cool off.[3]
After the chaos, Inkar spent much of her time with Tkrn. He told her of Erin and the other Earthers as well as other information like how [Repair] spells work on phones. Together (along with Oor and Orreh) they explored the Meeting of the Tribes in earnest. They ate food, entered competitions, and met more friends from the previous fight.[4] Over the coming days, they continued this and Tkrn and Inkar got closer. They entered a relationship within the week and soon after, Krshia arrived at the Meeting of the Tribes along with Inkar's fellow Earther, Rose.[5] The two were able to connect to some extent and Krshia was able to upgrade Rose's phone using one of her new Skills. Rose and Inkar went to play with the newly upgraded phone and the paragon of Ekhtouch, Gire, snuck in to see about this device, inadvertently learning the Earther secret.[6]
The Meeting of the Tribes continued much the same until eventually the tribes were ready to start presenting their gifts. The Silverfang Tribe sent Rose to discuss Earth and her knowledge of it and there was a debate about the danger that Earth presented. Eventually Inkar along with other prominent gnolls and humans created a new combination Skill called [The World of You and Me] to show the wonders of Earth as opposed to the danger many gnolls expected from it.[7] Soon after though, the meeting was interrupted. Other revelations from the Meeting of the Tribes caused a sudden attack by drakes. Inkar did not initially join the fight to defend the gnolls, but she did eventually join the fight to save the chieftain of the Hawkarrow Tribe, Eitha. Inkar's skill in riding, that she had shown earlier in the competitions, came in handy again. Inkar was co-opted by Feshi to help carry the strategist around the battlefield to make better use of the artifact that Feshi had.[8] This helped them win the battle, but the war wasn't done. The truth about doombearers was revealed to the Gnolls and another war started between Gnolls over whether doombearers were a cursed people or not. Inkar joined the side of the doombearers in this now three-sided fight.[9][10] The war ended with Inkar surviving and she ended up traveling back to Liscor with the Silverfangs in time to see the revival of Erin Solstice.[11]
