Qwera, also known as the Golden Gnoll, is a successful City Gnoll [Merchant], and secretly a childhood friend to Sellme and the Thief of Clouds.
Appearance[edit | edit source]
Her most prominent features are her original reddish fur almost completely painted in a shiny golden paint, and the fact that she goes around naked.[1]
Her real fur color is white.
Personality[edit | edit source]
Qwera is loud and flashy. When she appears she becomes the center of attention with her charisma, displays of wealth, and brazen nudity.
Background[edit | edit source]
Qwera likely originated from the Lairef Fur Tribe. At eleven year old, she signed on as an [Apprentice Trader] to the Mudrock Caravan, forty miles from where the tribe perished.[2]
She and Vetn grew up together as outcasts. She took care of him and later Tesy, acting as a big sister to the both of them. Vetn would break into Merchants Guilds and give her trading information, which she used to further her career and be one step ahead of the competition. Tesy would also make paintings for her to 'discover' and sell, but she warned him not to start trouble in any city she's currently in.[1]
She once met Shadow, one of the white Gnolls in Salazsar, but refused to join them.[3]

Volume 8[edit | edit source]
Qwera came to the city of Beithstrel to do business and offer financial advice. She got into an argument with another jealous [Merchant] afterwards, and encountered Ysara. Tesy and Vetn showed up with Mrsha in tow, looking for Qwera's help. She was upset that they brought trouble to her, and was mad at Tesy for what happened in Cellidel, but didn't kick them out and agreed to help.
They could not smuggle Mrsha in a trunk because of Gnolls setting up checkpoints. So she disguised Mrsha as an advertiser for her, to hide among the other advertising children, and brought them someplace where the Doomslayers wouldn't find them: a secret queer bar. She had Ysara help her smuggle Mrsha past the Plains Gnolls by "selling" Mrsha to her and having Vetn steal her.[1]
She brought Mrsha to the Meeting of the Tribes to bring her to the Silverfang Tribe. She let Vetn and Tesy look after Mrsha while she bought some Demas Metal at Ysara's advice and to sell her some of it later. Learning about what had transpired at the first Meeting of Chieftains and seeing how Gnolls where trying to cast spells, she started selling magical items.[4]
During the group chat about reviving Erin, Qwera petitioned Nerrhavia's Fallen on Ysara's behalf to release Yvlon. They found out that she had already been freed.[5]
Yelroan investigated her for being a white Gnoll, and had reasonable suspicions that he was, but did not inform anyone of this.[2]
During the debate between the tribes about Mrsha's fate, Ulcreziek washed off Qwera's fur dye and revealed her to be a Doombearer as well.[3]
