Background[edit | edit source]

Chronology[edit | edit source]

Fezimet invited members of the United Nations company to meet him and tell him why they chose to settle in his city. Satisfied that they posed no threat to him, he let them stay, though with a tax on their activities.[1]

When the Yellow Rivers disease spread through Baleros, Geneva and others met with him to inform him of the outbreak's severity and ask him to take appropriate actions to curb the rate of infections. They convinced him to act, but when refused to enact a lockdown, Geneva insulted him, and he downplayed the plagues severity to the citizens.[2]

Fezimet met with Peclir Im, and he agreed to pledge himself to the resurgent Jungle Tails company in exchange for being made a Serpent Leader.[3] Fezimet later decided it was time to kick out the United Nations from Talenqual.[4]

Fezimet had his company search for the Fraerling city of Paeth on the Coast, in order to destroy it per Jungle Tails' orders. However, progress was slow due to guerilla ambushes conducted by the Tallguards and the [Strategist] students, and Fezimet was hesitant to mobilize most of his troops even if he was promised reimbursement. Peclir ordered him to burn the forest. Fezimet refused until he was promised to be made a Nagatine Scion.[5]

He was blamed for the decision and faced backlash, from his own citizens, neighbouring company leaders, and recieved serious threats from [Druids]. He was also distressed with how many soldiers he was losing to Paeth's defenders, and how many more he could lose to the Fraerlings' last resort. But he pressed on.[6]

He was confronted by the United Nations and their allies, presenting him with a declaration signed by nineteen companies indicting him for his actions. Fezimet could not deny that he was not attacking Paeth. They promised not to let him assault Paeth anymore, and tried to convince him peacefully to cease with the promise of Fraerling-made artifacts. He ultimately refused, and Daly Sullivan shot him with a crossbow. He avoided a fatal shot thanks to his Skills and managed to retreat to his tower as a battle started in Talenqual.[6]

In his tower, Fezimet commanded his forces but was still rattled from the attack, and started to crack under the pressure. When his tower has toppled from under him, he snapped. He went on a rampage, killing and maiming all of his enemies. Daly and Marian tried to stop him, but they lost and he began eating them slowly. Mad and steeped in a dark class that he would gain once he slept, he began deluding himself in how he would rebuild his company and his city, better than ever. He died when Paeth teleported onto the ruins of his tower and its spells obliterated him.[7]
