Heartflame Set

From The Wandering Inn Wiki

The Heartflame Set is a set of legendary artifacts, it is unknown how many parts there are of the set, in fact it is almost unknown that there is a set. While who the set was originally crafted for is unknown, considering the activation method for the breastplate, the individual was most likely a drake. Parts of the set are also considered a national treasure for the drakes, as would any other part of the set, if they were known.

Known Parts[edit | edit source]

Heartflame Breastplate[edit | edit source]

The Heartflame Breastplate is a Drake national treasure that was lost for hundreds of years. It is now in Selys Shivertail's possession.

It is enchanted with [Damage Shield of Flames], which must be activated by the hissing of a Drake (or someone with an equivalent vocal structure) who wears it.

Helm of Fire[edit | edit source]

The Helm was first known through the Skill [Legacy Whispers: Heartflame Set]. The skill gave Selys Shivertail a hint in the form of a riddle to find its location[1] which turned out to be the Village of the Dead.[2]

To find the helm of fire,

Look to death’s ire;

That village without rest,

Where the Putrid One met his death.[1]

It has enchantments that provide free Skills to its wearer.

Penumbral Flamewalkers[edit | edit source]

Stolen by Zelkyr as equipment for his advanced Duelist Golem, so that no one may pass his test to the upper floors of Wistram Academy.[3]

They are enchanted with [Haste] and [Freedom of Movement].

Sol Gauntlets[edit | edit source]

The gauntlets are only known through the Skill [Legacy Whispers: Heartflame Set]. The skill gave Selys Shivertail a hint in the form of a riddle to find its location,[4] which is unknown at this time.

To seek the gauntlets obsidian forged,

Go to the deep, midnight gorge

Where Drake’s hubris met forts of stone

And sank to depths unmatched, alone.

This clue may refer to the wars that occurred 20,000 years ago during the Time of Hiding, when the champions of the Walled Cities delved under the ground to battle Gnolls, Dwarves, and Trolls across Izril.

Their enchantment is unknown.
