Salamani the Mage Runner tries to deliver Lady Ieka's message to the Archmage of Izril. Ryoka and Fierre ride the Unmarked Carriage, discovering that it's run by a Djinni named Karsaeu-Dequoa. Several criminals ride with them, including a [Trapmaster Assassin], two [Gang Leaders], a Brother of Seredipitous Meetings, and a Sister of Chell. Ryoka and Fierre arrive on the island of the Archmage of Izril.

Rabbiteater sets sail on a ship bound for Terandria with the Knights of the Order of Seasons, still in disguise as "Ser Solstice".
