Markus joins Rabbiteater in Calanfer. Later in Phielslant he tries to help him get over his break up

Markus inadvertently alerts the Duallahans to the location of the survivors from the Throne's Will because he thought Ser Greysten was contacting him via message scroll, but it was someone else.[2]
He is at Rabbiteater's side when they enter the Synectic Maze and dies of a poisonous attack duringfrom one of the many battles there.[3]
