Background edit edit source

An inhabitant of the Groves of Ettertree in Avel, Tserre studied magic for over one hundred sixty years before going to Wistram Academy, where she was taught by Silvenia Ettertree. The Archmage of Hell failed Tserre in her first class to see if she was eligible to go to Rhir. Years later, Tserre met Silvenia on slightly better terms during far worse conditions in Rhir, when the Kingdom of Blight's End was under attack against Soirethams. During this time, she was partnered with Knightess Leila Springwalker.

At some point, Tserre became a Councilmagus of Wistram, and regularly returned to Rhir on the Blighted Kingdom's and Silvenia's request. After Silvenia joined the Demon Kingdom as the Death of Magic, Tserre was among the former Archmage's students and friends who fought against her. It is implied that she knows of the full truth of why Silvenia turned traitor, which made her unofficially wanted by the Blighted Kingdom .[2] She's been residing in the Village of Spring for centuries, in her cottage within a magical bubble of everlasting spring.

She didn't notice her friend Leila had died until over a decade later, when her neighbor Prildor informed her.[1]

Chronology edit edit source

Volume 10 edit edit source

Tserre learned of Leila's death and Ceria's disappearance by Prildor. Nuvityn informed them of Ceria's current condition, and she requested to join his quest to retrieve her. She moved her entire cottage with her "chickens" Asture and Vorucula as she departed the village. Less than 10 seconds after leaving, Silvenia appeared before her, warning her that if Tserre didn't join her cause, the Blighted Kingdom would soon come looking for her and at the same time remembering Tserre that she owed her, however Tserre decided to go look for Ceria with the help of Nuvityn and an army of Erribathe.[1]

When Erin asked the Pavilion of Secrets, Tserre appeared and told Erin how to deal with her condition.[3]

Powers and Abilities edit edit source

She has a cottage that moves. She can cast a spell that maintains idyllic weather or starts sudden storms over a large area similar to Wistrams protection against storms.[1]

  • She was fond of slimes, having kept at least one hundred forty two over the years.
  • Her aging has slown down, having looked fourteen years old in appearance when she was two hundred sixteen years old.
  • Her magic class is described to have some overlap with the [Witch] class.[4] Possibly, she is one who pursues deep mastery of a range of magical disciplines.
  • She saw the casting of a Tier 8 spell after only two years in Rhir.
  • Silvenia has implied that while she could kill Tserre in a one-on-one, Tserre might be able to match her with the help of Erribathe's army.[2]
