Anamariss is a Scorchling residing in Pallass.
Appearance
Due to being a Scorchling she's unable to control her Old Blood ancestry, her internals were able to sustain the heat that she produces yet her scales do not, causing her to have to put splotches of gel around her armpits and joints to prevent further burns. She's also missing two fingers on her right hand.[1]
She wears a colored tunic that has been stained black by the ash coming off of her scales. [1]

As Jelaqua arrives late to Melika's charity fundraiser event she comes to see Anama causing a fuss nearly burning everyone there to a crisp with her uncontrolled breath attack after having a fight with Ophala. Jelaqua was able to stop her from killing them but as revenge for the embarrassment Anama asks Mortton and the other Flameblades to pull a robbery on the Selphid. Things go awry during their mugging making Morrton seek retribution for the faulty information provided by Anama, but he and the other gang members are thoroughly taken out by Jelaqua who followed them back to their hideout saving Anama from her fate.[1]
After Jelaqua ponders how she should help the orphans—first with Anamariss—the Selphid goes to their apartment to grab the Scorchling professing to have a way to help her with her condition bring her and the other kids to Grimalkin's Gymnasium. In the ring Jelaqua begins to beat with all of her might on the girl in the service of counterlevelling her through a capstone for a skill to aid with her problem which she succeeds in doing.[1]
Jelaqua later brings Anama and the other orphans to The Wandering Inn.[2]
