The Empire of Sands is an empire in Chandrar, ruled by the Emperor of Sands.

Most of the Empire consists of vast deserts. It occupies the entire western coast of Chandrar down to Roshal.[1]

The Empire is barely over a decade old. Since its inception, it has assimilated nearly two dozen nations.[2]
The Emperor of Sands executed Drevish and sent his head to Reim in order to declare war at Flos.
Within the year, they've gained control over most of Chandrar's northwestern ports and trading.[3]

It is ruled by the Emperor of Sands, a String Person that can change their heads, accessing a variety of viewpoints, experiences, and personalities. Their most important skill is [Sanctuary of the Desert], that grants access to aquifers below the sands to bring forth water.[4]
The Empire is profficient at taking over the existing administrations of the nations it swallows.[2]

The Empire has control of most of the continent's northwestern trading. It has also begun selling Chemath Marble.[5]

Its known population is Garuda, String People, and Humans.
The String People of the empire are notable for having a wide variety of features and body types, even in comparison to Nerrhavia's Fallen. They may have great height, strength, thinness, pallor, dark eyes, and so on.[1] It is also not as strictly caste-based as other Stitch-folk nations, allowing levels to trump cloth.[2]
