Octavia Cotton is an Alchemist Stitch Person, the owner of Stitchworks, and the apprentice of Saliss Oliwing.
Appearance[edit | edit source]
Octavia has black hair in braids and pulled into a ponytail, and dark skin. She has clearly defined muscles and dresses in comfortable, sleeveless shirts and long, loose pants. She has stitch-marks around each shoulder and her neck, and stitches going all down her right arm.[1]
Personality[edit | edit source]
Octavia is enthusiastic to the point of hyperactivity. A fast talker, her favorite sales method is to bombard her customers with convoluted pitches and hyping up her potions. She is pushy in both her business and every-day interactions with others. Octavia can be greedy when it comes to gold or acquiring magical ingredients, which she doesn't try very hard to hide. Her motivations are usually profit-based, willing to do almost anything as long as it makes her money or personally benefits her. However, as of late, after nearly alienated or annoyed most of her friends away Octavia has tamped down on her pushiness and greed,. She has also become more generous, once giving free potions to Ryoka Griffin, compared to before her first instinct was to offer to sell a healing potion to Pisces Jealnet for his bleeding nose when she was responsible for said bleeding nose.[2] She is also brave, willing to join the search for Mrsha du Marquin out of concern when the Gnoll was kidnapped.[3]
She is highly driven and determined to succeed in her craft, often working long hours in her shop, and forgetting to sleep or eat.

She was originally from Nerrhavia's Fallen, training as an [Alchemist] there before immigrating to Celum in Izril.
Chronology[edit | edit source]
Volume 2:
Octavia met Ryoka when Garia introduced her. She helped appraise the potion that Ryoka received as payment for the delivery for Teriarch. She informed Ryoka that it was a Potion of Haste or possibly even a greater effect.[1]
She used to live in Celum before transferring to The Wandering Inn in Volume 7.
