The Marquins are one of the Hundred Families of Terandria. They rule over Calanfer.

House Marquin was founded by Marquin the Radiant after she fought in Rhir during the Creler Wars. For her aid, she was awarded a Dragonthrone which she used to build her capital city around. After she founded the country, she never went to war again in her lifetime, relying on diplomacy to fight her battles. This is a trait that many of her descendants shared although it has led to an increasingly weak military through the generations.[1]

Princesses of House Marquin can have chosen representatives of the Thronebearers that can be used in enforcing their wills, defending their honor, or as a trustworthy aid and confidant.[2]
