Liscor's Dungeon is a massive Gold-ranked vengeance dungeon, located beneath Liscor and the Floodplains.

Background[edit | edit source]

The dungeon was once the Walled City of Graves, and its purpose was to destroy Dragons. Mershi once waged war on it in retribution for dark deeds they committed. It eventually fell under the control of the Mother of Graves and became a Vengeance Dungeon.[1]

Chronology[edit | edit source]

Features and Layout[edit | edit source]

Main Entrances[edit | edit source]

The dungeon has 4 official entrances, all located at the outermost corners. They lead to the 1st floor, which consist of resetting and shifting trap rooms. At the end of each one of them, right before the huge staircases that lead to the vast Labyrinth floor, there are 4 different, great monster nests, with thousands and thousands of monsters in each one.

The 4 (now 3) great monster nests consist of; one with Face-Eater Moths, and their giant variant, one with Shield Spiders, again with giant variants of them, and one that contains of deadly Fungi, with some variant capable of moving. The last one is unknown as to what type of nest it contained, as Snatcher had killed off whatever was inside, leaving it empty.[2]

Official Entrance[edit | edit source]

The Dungeon’s official entrance that leads to the 1st floor, was excavated by the Antinium in the Winter after Erin's arrival. This entrance consists of a set of huge double doors, that looked like they were made of bronze, with golden inscriptions carved into the metal. The reliefs looked like twisting Dragons breathing fire or Drakes casting magic.[3]

It is located in a small, fortified tunnel leading downwards, beneath Liscor. The entrance is guarded by a group of sixteen guardsmen, armed with bows and spears and one [Mage]. They watch the entrance to the dungeon from behind a small wooden rampart, that has a row of sharpened stakes thrust into the ground in front of the wall and enough space for the [Guardsmen] to loose arrows and jab spears at whatever might come out of the dungeon.[4]

Other Entrances[edit | edit source]

Other then the 4 official entrances, there are numerous unofficial entrances that lead to various points all over the dungeon. These range from passages excavated by monsters, to secret entrances, and eroded enchantment walls breaches. These known entrances are:

Rift Entrance[edit | edit source]

Located in the Floodplains, just outside Liscor. It is a rift in the ground that stretches down hundreds of feet and goes straight down into the heart of the 2nd floor.[5][6]

Cave Entrance[edit | edit source]

Located inside a mountain cave in the northern reaches of the Floodplains[7]. This entrance leads to the dungeon's 1st floor, right at the very last trapped room before the vanishing floor chamber of the great Shield Spider nest.

The cave was originally inhabited by Dropclaw Bats, before they were all exterminated by the 5 Redfang Hobgoblins, so they and the Cave Goblins could live in it. Currently, this entrance is blocked due to the cavern having been collapsed by Tyrion's army, to stop a wave of Shield Spiders that came from within from overtaking them.[8]

Antinium Entrance[edit | edit source]

Located underneath Liscor, and between the dungeon and the Hive. It is not an entrance as such but an area that consists of multiple routes from the the Hive to the 2nd floor of the dungeon. The tunnels are dug by hungry monsters and the Antinium.

The tunnels are under attack from Shield Spiders to Pickstriker fungi, and Crypt Worms and the undead almost daily and have to be pushed back and guarded against attack by the Antinium.[9]

Secret Disposal Entrance[edit | edit source]

Located in a secret room, opposite the treasure room where Skinner emerged, on the 2nd floor of the Ruins of Liscor. It leads to a small circular room, with a strange hexagonal symbol drawn onto the floor.

The room was meant to be used as a disposal chute, as upon crossing onto the hexagonal floor, the ground vanishes to a long drop below, to a large room full of Raskghar bones, with only one exit that leads to a long trapped corridor. It was discovered by Olesm and Pisces with the help of a Ring of Sight gifted by Niers.[10]

Ashfire Bee Hive Entrance[edit | edit source]

A cave that contains an Ashfire Bee's Hive in it. From within the ground, a type of monster as dangerous as Crelers have excavated a route from the Dungeon. Currently it is unknown which part of the Dungeon this route leads to.

Floors[edit | edit source]

The 1st and 2nd floors are connected by a huge staircase.

1st Floor[edit | edit source]

The 1st Floor consists of a resetting and sifting trapped rooms.

2nd Floor[edit | edit source]

The 2nd Floor consists of a labyrinth filled with monsters, hives, and traps.

City[edit | edit source]

There is an inner city at the heart of the Dungeon, as big as a Walled City. It is infested with skinless drakes.

Wells[edit | edit source]

The dungeon has well rooms from which the water the Dungeon Monsters drink from comes, and the Floodplains' annual flooding drains into. It is over eight thousand feet deep, descending into depths only Gnomes and Dead Gods have been.[1]
