Duo chapter between Erin and Numbtongue pt 2. It starts off with Numbtongue mining as he rehearses words he was going to tell Erin once they were alone together (about his past). He manages to find something and turns out its mana sludge. It’s the form it has before it materializes after a few years and becomes mana stone. At the discovery, he finds himself playing his guitar using his [Electric Chords] skill to call the power of the stone. But after a while, he’s unsuccessful. Now disappointed, he tries to pick the sludge up, but gets a jolt. Then he realizes the sludge had become electric due to his music. And he begins to pick it up for the mages to inspect.

Erin is spoiled by Lasica and Rufelt who give her drinks and food from their bar as she stops being as sad. They also begin to give her advice on how to be a better innkeeper after they called her a rookie. She writes it all down and watches as the bar opens up. Regulars of the bar who Erin had met greets her before they talk politics. Then, Lasica makes food and Rufelt makes drink until their dullahan violinist appears. They both pause their work and hand it to their apprentices or what not and begin to dance along with the other couples. Erin spends the rest of the day, joyfully eating and drinking. She returns, joyful. Numbtongue also returns around the same time, carrying his findings which has all of the mages intrigued. But Falene becomes even more intrigued when he shows them the magic stones that Pyrite had. She asks him to sell it to her, hiding it away from everyone else. He refuses as Falene pouts how it was unfair that they hadn’t received any monetary rewards from the dungeons. Their arguing is interrupted by Numbtongue cracking the magic stone with his mouth. He spits it out into a jar and locks it but it continues to shake. They chuck it out of the inn, right as Selys and Olesm are on their way. They duck, and narrowly avoid a bad time. Selys tells him to go the next day and he does, only to have a bag full of very expired rations thrown at him. He begins to throw up, and Erin watches all of the chaos of her inn and its inhabitants and laughs. Numbtongue levels up in both classes.
