The Roots (Pt. 2) is the 37th chapter of Volume 10.

  • Mrsha awakens in a daze after falling on her shoulder.
  • After collecting herself, she decides to walk down the dark corridor and finds a massive door.
  • While looking through the keyhole, Mrsha figures out the door is for the [Pavilion of Secrets] and she stuck in the [Palace of Fates].
  • Mrsha is then found out by PavErin and is demanded answers of how she got in there.
  • With no way of answering Mrsha runs to the hanging ropes only to fall to her death by a quake caused by PavErin's anger.
  • A SLAM is then heard.

Synopsis[edit | edit source]

Mrsha is in daze after her fall, landing on her shoulder writhing in pain. She then gets into a panic after realizing that she is in a place of unknown whereabouts after falling through the [Garden of Sanctuary]. As she looks around she notices the long strands of rope that are hanging from the ceiling which she clearly remember being roots of the Faerie Flowers . In an attempt to escape she climbs the ropes multiple times to see if there's a way out yet she fails. During her climbs she mulls over how she would interact with the Fae if she landed in Avalon based on the stories the Earthers shared and film that she has seen. Then she questions why she thinks she is in Avalon in the first place, and why she has this great sense of foreboding. As she calms down she goes over what abilities she has available to her through her items, skills, and spells. Equipped with her Wand of Mrsha, Cape of Heroes and an iron lantern she venture forth down the dark corridor.

As she walks down the unlit hallway with her lantern she encounters a hurdle were all light refused to go passed a certain boundary. Faced with no other option she puts her paw through the threshold and the hallway disappeared. After readjusting she finds herself in front of a massive door fit for true Half-Giants, while having a hard time inspecting the door she is able to come to the conclusion that it is the door to the [Pavilion of Secrets] and that she is on the opposite side of the door. To make sure she knowns where she is at, Mrsha looks through the keyhole to see what is beyond yet all she sees is the void. Then suddenly with a shift of an angle Mrsha is able to see a weird gazebo floating in the aether and now knows for a fact that she's in the [Pavilion of Secrets], and by simple deduction Mrsha now knows that she is stuck in the [Palace of Fates].

With that mystery out of the way Mrsha now tries to get the notice of Erin Solstice through the keyhole, yet when she looks through the hole all she see in another eye looking at her. Spooked but not entirely afraid Mrsha looks through the hole again only to see Erin but not what she remembers, an Erin that was near death and full of desperation. This Erin reveals itself to being the Pavilion of Secrets and demands answer of how Mrsha was able to get in the [Palace of Fates], with no reasonable way of responding Mrsha runs away to the hanging ropes in fear. As Mrsha is halfway up the ropes, PavErin with her anger causes the area to tremble causing Mrsha to fall to her death. In her last dying moments Mrsha hears a slam.
