Chapter tl;dr
Chapter 6.00 Ryoka is living in Reizmelt at The Huntress’ Haven and is becoming known as The Wind Runner. The Pithfire Hounds are introduced, and Ryoka catches a ride from Termin in the process of saving their member Lamont. The chapter ends with Ryoka asking Fierre what it's like being a vampire, and being mildly kidnapped for her nosiness.
Chapter 6.01 Ryoka gets kidnapped by Fierre and taken to her family's home. She meets Colfa , Himilt, and Rivel. After earning a tenuous trust from the Lischelle-Drakles and learning a lot about vampires, Ryoka and Fierre return to Reizmelt where they grab drinks with the Pithfire Hounds. Ryoka takes her first Courier-level delivery and, while completing it, is chased down by bandits-- whom she easily outwits with a bag of dust, caltrops, and the wind.
Chapter 6.02 Octavia Cotton feuds with a rival alchemist, Quelm, and struggles to protect her business. She visits The Wandering Inn, where Erin Solstice is consumed by grief after Goblins who defended Liscor were slaughtered. Meanwhile, Numbtongue, the last surviving Redfang, emerges from isolation and walks through Liscor, demanding to know why his people were killed despite fighting for the city. His presence sparks controversy, riots, and soul-searching among the citizens. In the end, he returns to the battlefield, buries his fallen comrades, and inherits Pyrite’s mining knowledge, taking his first steps toward a new future.
Chapter 6.03 Erin, overwhelmed by grief, realizes she can’t stay in her inn. She declares Lyonette, Mrsha, and Numbtongue her family and reveals to them that she's from Earth. Erin creates and gives Numbtongue a document stating that he's an adventurer, with rights. that's signed by a host of important figures. Lyonette takes over managing the inn while Erin plans to travel. The chapter ends with Numbtongue performing a first iteration of the Ballad of the Redfangs.
Chapter 6.04 D Daly and the group of Balerosian Earthers that the United Nations Company consists of are shown struggling to create and run their Company through a series of flashbacks. In the present, Daly forms the Bushrangers, to help fund the United Nations and to demonstrate how helpful crossbows are to potential buyers. He's successful in both ventures.
Chapter 6.05 D
  • Bushrangers are going to take the day off.
  • Daly walks around Talenqual.
  • Daly hears about a dungeon being found and that odd Humans have been seen in an abandoned village.
  • Bushrangers go to find the humans, they are from Earth and brought back to the United Nations.
Chapter 6.06 D Geneva, Aiko, and Ken return to the United Nations Company after traveling around Baleros in an attempt to get their company's name out while making money using Geneva's medical skills. Soon after, Geneva becomes aware of and begins treating those with the Yellow Rivers Disease. A nearby dungeon is overrun with snakes, threatening The Rustless Guard, an adventuring group captained by Eldima. The Bushrangers step in to help, but Ken saves the day, convincing a large number of local warriors to go and help the teams fight. Geneva performs an emergency c-section on a centauress, Miss Hastel, after other medical professionals that rely on skills are unable to help-- proving that knowledge of medicine beyond skills and levels is sometimes necessary.
Chapter 6.07 D
  • Luan is working as a runner and doing well. Worried that he is having trouble remembering his wife and child he gets a tattoo of their names.
  • Venaz has engineered an opportunity to meet Luan secretly to offer him a job to take place in a few weeks time.
  • Xalandrass gets a meeting with Niers, shows Niers Earther objects, flashlights and iPhones. Niers asks for the story behind the objects, buys them, and rewards Xalandrass. Niers has caught onto the secret of the other world.

Chapter 6.12 K
  • Flos works to integrate Germina and Hellios.
  • In Ger, the Quarass is brought back with his help, Flos gets Quarass to agree to rule under him.
  • In Hellios, Flos forces the Queen Calliope to abdicate, offers Price Siyal the opportunity to serve and Flos may reward him.
  • Both Countries will bow to Flos, though Flos believes Ger will integrate easier.
Chapter 6.13 K

  • Clan Tannousin settles into Flos's castle.
  • Nawalishifra gets Trey to lead her to Flos's forge, meets Daiton, Flos's forge master. She is unimpressed with Daiton's mass produced weapons due to impure steel.
  • Insults lead to a competition to forge a sword between Daiton and Clan Tannousin.
  • Clan Tannousin's techniques are shown off.
  • Erin goes to Pallass to buy a new knife.
  • Pallass blacksmiths, Maughin, Pelt, Bealt start showing off to each other, smithing horseshoes then knives.

  • A feast for Flos' return to Reim, demonstrates some of Reim's past glory to guests.
  • Flos judges the swords from the competition admiring Nawalishifra's quality but emphasizing his need for Daiton's quantity.
  • Flos discusses his abilities and plans with Trey.
  • Flos sends a message to surrounding nations.

Chapter 6.16
  • The Horns of Hammerad take the Ashfire Bee contract and fail along with the Silver Swords. Moore bails them out sealing the cave with a new earth spell.
  • Octavia is begging for help but no one in the inn takes her concern seriously.
  • The Door traveling north with the Griffon Hunt has reached a point where it can only handle a couple trips, the Griffon Hunt, the Silver Swords and the Halfseekers decide it is time to leave the inn. Erin is distraught.
  • The Gold rank teams travel together a bit before they all split up, each helping out others in their own ways as they move on to new adventures.
  • The Horns head to Celum to look at jobs, they meet Garia who looks different.
