Chapter 7.61 is the 84th chapter of Volume 7 and the 9th chapter of Book 20.

- Niers gathers his top advisors at breakfast with Foliana to announce his departure for vacation.
- Erin watchs as Kiish and two Knights have to body-check Altestiel into his carriage, to leave and go home.
- Erin warns The Callers that the door will be off line for a few hours for upgrades as they return from Invrisil.
- As Hexel starts to make the upgrades Erin rushes off to a funeral. When she returns she is in crazy plan mode.
- Niers scares Merxel popping out of a wine bottle,Erin talks to Laken, and a force of drakes closes in on Liscor.
- Niers arrives in the Flood Plains, the Antinium spread word of the attack forces, Todi and his team take note of the Gold ranks that just went to Esthelm.
- Ambushes outside Liscor and Esthelm, fighting outside the Inn, Erin gets hit with poisoned bolts, and Niers is captured by a Razorbeak.

Niers Astoragon announces to his top officials he's going on vacation, today. Earl Altestiel is practically dragged away to go home to Desonis. Hexel begins work on moving the teleportation door to a secure room, and Erin attends the funeral of Lord Toldos. Erin returns to the inn and makes preparations to go to Ryoka's Solstice party in Riverfarm. Niers Astoragon teleports to Invrisil, hiding in a wine bottle. Erin messages Laken about the party, annoying him with her sass. Four ambush squads from Hectval set up around Liscor, ready to do some damage in retaliation for Lism punching their bigoted diplomat. The Antinium notice the ambush squads and eventually decide they are indeed a hostile force.
Niers realizes he's been betrayed and kills the traitorous agent, and tries to kill the Gold-rank team hired to kill him. He mostly succeeds, but is carried off by a bird before he can finish the job.
Hectval's strike forces shoot Erin by accident with poisoned crossbow bolts, and she dies. Her body is frozen and placed into the Garden of Sanctuary at Kevin's insistence, and Liscor declares war on Hectval.
