Chapter 10.46 L is the 93rd chapter of Volume 10. The L stands for Lyonette du Marquin.

  • Rhisveri's inner circle of friends inquire if he'll have a partner for upcoming gala, all of his attempts to find a partner fails until he remembers someone who owes him a favor.
  • With little time to prepare, Lyonette does what she can to find appropriate attire, opening her treasury skill she finds that it contains a separate space for each of the continents.
  • Entering the event many become interested in finding out the identity of Duke Rhisveri's partner.
  • Lyonette wants to leave after a few incidents but after having a chat with Mrsha does she start enjoying herself at her time in Ailendamus.
  • The investigations of those interested in finding out the truth of the identity of Rhisveri's partner discover her as the 6th [Princess] of Calanfer, Lyonette du Marquin.

Earlier in the day before Rhisveri kidnapped Lyonette from The Wandering Inn, the Wyrm is awoken by Regalius after following Eclizza all around the previous day, as the nobles discuss the upcoming gala in Dame Eclizza's honor they ask him if he has a partner going with him. Sophridel almost erupts in laughter and passes on a note to Rhisveri on who to choose as a partner for the event with the nobles departing to get ready. As Rhisveri was putting cloths on his Human body Eclizza enters his chambers to talk about the event for her, he beseeches her to be his partner to the event with her wholeheartedly refusing needing to toss the man away for him to stop pestering her about it. With a number of options refusing to go with him he mopes about with his Human body wondering what's wrong, thinking on all of his options he narrows down on someone who owns him a favor and while kidnapping her was a bad look she'd understand.

Lyonette and Ushar are astounded by Rhisveri's excuses, after all her yelling about being sent back he understands but seeing his pitiable state she agrees to go with him. Lyonette is utterly dumbfounded by how unprepared the Duke is leaving her little time to fix their dire situation, she then learns of the size and importance of the event panicking even further wishing she had some of the dress from home. Opening her treasury skill she expected to only see mountains of gold and some of her paltry possessions but comes face to a mace nearly hitting her, after Ushar dealt with the armored puppet Lyonette is shocked to see the difference in the appearance of her skill finding out that she has gained access to Marquin's version of the skill. Applying a few reinforcing spells on the decrepit logbook they read the passages the former owners of the skill have written such as Marquin writing about how the skill itself works, of Angele justifying why she got this skill, and that there's a separate treasury space on each of the continents. They find a magical dress in a private room in the skill with Rhisveri pointing out the armor Ushar stabbed belonged to Marquin, seeing the truth in his words they place the armor back on the stand and take anything else that looks good.

The two remain Thirsting Veil Knights, Aine and Chorisa, go over the words said by the Duke, his partner and her knight locking in to where she originates from, they run off to find Eclizza but the ball has already begun. Itorin sits at the banquet admiring the spectacle of seeing the sea of species attending the event partaking in all they have offer, then Duke Rhisveri arrives wearing something that he usually wouldn't wear and his partner having no clue of who she is telling a servant to discover her identity. She introduces herself as 'Eyonlett' and her guard 'Rusha' to the crown with Itorin not believing it for a second as he introduces his family to her, the royal family is impressed by Eyonlett's acumen in maneuvering the conversation not revealing much about herself. Itorin assumes she's a [Spy] that was coincidentally plucked by the Duke from somewhere based on her knowledge of Ailendamus, but seeing the woman's aura after Ozena made a rude remark makes him doubt his claim. Feeling something from her class as a [Battle Princess] Ozena feels the need to provoke the woman so she uses her aura to shove Eyonlett in an attempt to make her stumble, but she in turn receives an aura counterattack to the face causing her to become dazed falling on to a nearby servant. Stopping Ozena from going any further, Itorin reestablish information gathering efforts to find out who Rhisveri's partner is.

Even with meeting the royal family and teaching their [Princess] a lesson, all Lyonette wants to do is to leave the kingdom that made war against her home to be with her daughter with her beginning to argue with Rhisveri about her situation, he leads her away to discuss something privately but saunters onto the dance floor making the two of them dance not to make a fool out of themselves. While dancing they argue about the necessity and reason for the wars Ailendamus enacts with him sharing his views that what Ailendamus does is clearly better for all especially the commonfolk of the lands, as Rhisveri leaves to get a drink, Yietha approaches bringing to her another point of view on the topic. The rest of Rhisveri's circle comes by to meet her trying to ferret out her relations to the Duke, they pass her one of the masks for the Court of Masks and travel through the palace observing the beautiful design of the blending of the palaces of former kingdoms. Ushar speaks with a [Lady] from Taimaguros about the status of Kanmis but all the noble wants to complain to Rhisveri about a ghosttouched commoner causing a fuss, Rhisveri casually mentioning Earthers catches the notice of Telim who introduces Wesle to the Duke and his partner. As Rhisveri and Telim try to Winebreath Blaster each other, Wesle and Eyonlett catch up on how they're doing.

Regalius and Yietha lock into the interaction the [Actor] had with Eyonlett knowing that there's something there to latch onto for further investigations pointing to the other members of the Players of Celum. Their efforts fall flat with Kilkran but Itorin notices that she is wearing a powerful ring, getting a closer look at the ring they find the words Salazsar written on it. Telim proclaims that Eyonlett is a Drake Wall Lady of Salazsar with the rest of the group going out to confirm their suspicions with Itorin telling them to be calm with their questionings, Itorin and Oiena discuss the veracity of her being a Drake with them believing it to be unlikely. Oiena then brings up the only other way someone can get a Ring of Salazsar pointing to the scandal that happened with that Calanferian [Princess], Itorin shuts the conversation down as to not leak who Rhisveri's partner is, Rhisveri's friends also connect the dots now knowing who Eyonlett is enjoying themselves in all of the gossip.

Lyonette meets with Emme as they talk about the Players of Celum's adventures touring the world until a [Believer] introduces herself to Wesle cutting their conversation short, Lyonette goes to the bathroom thinking on the spreading of Faith to the world pondering on what's being prayed to. Wistram presents their tier-5 illusion showcase to the masses with the showing of one of the plays done by the Players of Celum offer to sell their services to the highest bidder, the nobles deride Telim for the acts of Eldavin in the recent war against the Dawn Concordat but the [High Magus] is able to influence the talks by offering the selling of higher magics and turns invisible before the rabble could begin their questioning. Paxere and a few other immortals discuss the message Wistram has sent to the world with them planning to send their own, they then talk about Rhisveri's current maddening behavior struck from grief and his partner of the night as they see her actually smiling.

Lyonette couldn't help herself from enjoying the event as it wasn't a life-and-death scenario talking with the nobles around her about a number of topics surrounding politics, Ushar informs her that Lady Paterghost has caught interest in the armor she wears and that they've made contact with those at home. She messages with Mrsha updating on how she dealt with Ilvriss wanting to save her and telling her mother to go have fun, accepting her daughter's wishes she goes back to see Paterghost speak passionately about the armor Ushar is wearing before Rhisveri drags her along to seem more like a couple to the others. They question what the Duke has done for her to agree to be his partner with her expressing that he defended her in a time that mattered and shares that they've also gambled with each other, Oiena discusses the use case for Lyonette's gambling skill liking her time with the [Queen]. Telim introduces himself again to Lyonette but this time revealing that he knows her identity, they converse clearing the air of their association having no bad blood between them with the [Princess] trying to recruit him to join The Wandering Inn with all of its comforts and dangers. His presence is caught by a [Bodyguard] and apologizes letting Lyonette know that he refuses feeling fear by her words as they move on to safer topics.

Radiant is the word that comes to Oiena's mind when observing Lyonette telling Itorin to go interact with her as the girl is better than all the other [Princess] and [Princes] of Calanfer she has met, while Itorin is concerned with Lyonette's identity being revealed to all Ozena returns wanting to challenge the girl again. Finding an avenue to navigate the situation, Itorin makes it seem like a test to Ozena and their other children to find out the true identity of Eyonlett to keep them busy for a while.

Yoriven is enjoying his time at the party being the winner of the lottery to join the occasion, feeling a bit overwhelmed by the grandeur and scope of the gala he goes to the gardens for a time before he returns back to the party. He speaks Makren learning a little of how the Order of Haegris operate before seeing two Thirsting Veil Knights walking nearby inviting them over for a chat but they refuse saying that they need to find Eclizza. They locate her by the fountain in the garden with Yoriven thinking of meeting the Great Knight herself but is dissuaded from the act by the others as Eclizza is known to have a temper when she's in a sour mood, when the Pale Serpent learned the identity Rhisveri's partner she storms her way into the party wanting to confront and test this woman. Yoriven tries to assuage Eclizza but is greatly pushed aside entering the palace, he is caught by Merila with everyone there scared refusing to step in the Pale Serpent's way.

Eclizza enters the ballroom gazing at the massiveness of the palace being a culmination of excess and conquest, learning the truth of her kingdom filled her full of both confidence at the power of the immortals and insecure about the youth of the nation being a hodgepodge of cultures from former kingdoms unsure if the people beside her can handle the truth. Her mood has worsened even if the event was supposed to be joyous because for all her levels and strength all it took was an accident by someone careless to end all of her efforts. As she finds Lyonette, Eclizza can she see the cracked shell of a beautiful, crafted image of a [Princess] that's barely containing the aura within. As a being made to be a weapon of war she imagines how she would kill the [Princess] and her guard as efficiently as possible approaching the woman, meeting with Lyonette the Pale Serpent begins to release her aura over Lyonette in an attempt to chase her off. Seeing that Lyonette hasn't walked away Eclizza begins to greatly intensify her poisonous aura which begins to seriously affect everyone around them, Lyonette is unsure herself why she is even fighting back rather than leaving when Rhissy the sock puppet and then Ozena tried to block the Great Knight's path. Eclizza throws out her full aura at Ozena blowing out the windows of the palace, Lyonette sees the Monarchs of Ailendamus waiting for what happens next when she suddenly remembers her time in the [Pavilion of Secrets].

Lyonette enters the Pavilion meeting Erin describing her current situation in Ailendamus while the [Innkeeper] shows where she's traveling through at that moment, Erin offers her aid to Lyonette with the angry Knight but refuses and tell her about the [Treasury of House Marquin] skill. Lyonette asks Erin for advice with her telling the [Princess] to do what she wants to do, Erin then begins to cough and have trouble breathing telling Lyonette that she been inflicted with a cracked soul. Carrying Erin to her door they depart saying their goodbyes, Lyonette return back to the ballroom with great spirit while Rhisveri ambles towards her talking about an escape plan but Lyonette decides that she wants to dance for real this time. Lyonette proceeds in doing the choreography of the Alamarian five-step leaving Rhisveri behind for all in the ballroom to see, done with her middling performance she can see that the commotion with Eclizza has died down and speaks with the Duke about him never once truly engaging with a mortal in the past. Lyonette glimpses a shy Menorkel who reminds her of Moore and other people she has missed from home causing her to cry, understanding the pain of grief Rhisveri goes on to give a speech to the crowd sharing his sorrow of loss and the gratefulness he feels having one of them return.

Everyone is in shock to see the Duke crying with Eclizza bowing at him, as Lyonette was readying to leave an emissary from the Blighted Kingdom and Erribathe arrive throwing blatant threats to the [Princess]. Menorkel and Gilaw drive away the two rude guests with those that Lyonette has met wanting her to stay longer, to show them and Eclizza her mettle Lyonette requests to have another chance at doing the Alamarian five-step whether she succeeds or not. Betting everything on the roll of her dice skill Lyonette begins her dance with Ushar recording it all. Ilvriss in the inn notices that Lyonette is glowing as she dances but suddenly gets hit with a beam of light, as everyone take cover those that were hit notice that they've recovered from something ailing them such a small injury or a minor trouble. Mrsha shares that she is using her skill [Dance of Blessings] which has never been used before, Ilvriss after a moment of introspection goes on to smile for the [Princess].

The immortals crowd around Rhisveri tired from the difficult dance with Lyonette speaking with Oesca about being true in one's efforts into doing something. Eclizza takes Lyonette aside for a private chat discussing her changed outlook on Lyonette and Ailendamus's relations to the inn in terms of what aid can be provided to each other. Lyonette shares the information about the debt Rhisveri owes to the inn and request help on how to aid Tessa with her addictions and for two autographs, Itorin is fascinated in seeing their hardboiled Knight give someone an autograph wondering if the other [Princesses] of Calanfer are like Lyonette hoping never to meet Ielane.

Lyonette says her goodbyes to everyone shedding a few tears as she leaves, some question if the crying was some political ploy to tip the scale away from the war with other hoping to meet the [Princess] again some day. Returning back to the inn, a few of the innfolks take up Rhisveri's attention but seeing Mrsha he requests a chat with her and gets taken into the [Garden of Sanctuary], he apologizes that he couldn't have done more to fix things and expressing that a child like should have never been able to make that choice offering a safe place should she ever ask for it. Learning from the [Palace of Fates] Rhisveri tells Mrsha that he prepare for strife and the consequences remembering in being a person in between all of greatness and horrors, after the Duke left everyone at the inn is winding down for the night with Lyonette wandering the halls of the inn pondering the consequences of her actions. Opening a door with no nameplate thinking it was the [Room of the Traveller], feeling true fear Lyonette instead finds an empty room that contained [The Transient, Ephemeral, Fleeting Vault of the Mortal World], the [Evanescent Safe of Passing Moments] and the [Faded Chest of Then and Them]. Understanding that it was her that called for them Lyonette begins to pray to the Grand Design of Isthekenous for her level 40 class to be one that will allow her to be the one to bear the weight and cost of whatever comes next. Accessing the Vault she places the inn inside of it and after hesitating for a moment she reaches for the Safe exchanging for Erin's damages and leaves something behind, once she stumbles her way to bed she receives her new class which lets the world know that the inn has changed once more.

The next day, Nuvityn speaks with [Diplomat] Ke'len about Lyonette's appearance in Ailendamus discussing with Tserre of the magical cost of such an act of teleporting someone from another continent. Finished speaking with the Dwarf [Diplomat], Nuvityn worries from an incoming reprisal and asks Tserre to scry the inn yet with all her efforts she is unable to locate the inn, Nuvityn goes through the maps himself forgetting where the inn is every time he tries to pinpoint it's location with him burgeoning with intense emotions of frustration and excitement. In the Blighted Kingdom, Othius is frustrated and then raged after learning that The Wandering Inn can no longer be located even after the efforts of their spies, the Slavers of Roshal are also having a poor reaction to the news with them throwing people out of their windows.

Mrsha watches the [Spies] aimlessly wandering around the Floodplains looking for the inn as Ishkr has the wagon ready for Lyonette's trip to a certain healer, the [Cracked Princess] professes that she needs to build a proper room to treat Tessa and to find a [Thought Healer] for all of them laugh with her daughter
