Ryoka is living in Reizmelt at The Huntress’ Haven and is becoming known as The Wind Runner. The Pithfire Hounds are introduced, and Ryoka catches a ride from Termin in the process of saving their member Lamont. The chapter ends with Ryoka asking Fierre what it's like being a vampire, and being mildly kidnapped for her nosiness.
Ryoka gets kidnapped by Fierre and taken to her family's home. She meets Colfa , Himilt, and Rivel. After earning a tenuous trust from the Lischelle-Drakles and learning a lot about vampires, Ryoka and Fierre return to Reizmelt where they grab drinks with the Pithfire Hounds. Ryoka takes her first Courier-level delivery and, while completing it, is chased down by bandits-- whom she easily outwits with a bag of dust, caltrops, and the wind.
Octavia Cotton feuds with a rival alchemist, Quelm, and struggles to protect her business. She visits The Wandering Inn, where Erin Solstice is consumed by grief after Goblins who defended Liscor were slaughtered. Meanwhile, Numbtongue, the last surviving Redfang, emerges from isolation and walks through Liscor, demanding to know why his people were killed despite fighting for the city. His presence sparks controversy, riots, and soul-searching among the citizens. In the end, he returns to the battlefield, buries his fallen comrades, and inherits Pyrite’s mining knowledge, taking his first steps toward a new future.
Erin, overwhelmed by grief, realizes she can’t stay in her inn. She declares Lyonette, Mrsha, and Numbtongue her family and reveals to them that she's from Earth. Erin creates and gives Numbtongue a document stating that he's an adventurer, with rights. that's signed by a host of important figures. Lyonette takes over managing the inn while Erin plans to travel. The chapter ends with Numbtongue performing a first iteration of the Ballad of the Redfangs.
Daly and the group of Balerosian Earthers that the United Nations Company consists of are shown struggling to create and run their Company through a series of flashbacks. In the present, Daly forms the Bushrangers, to help fund the United Nations and to demonstrate how helpful crossbows are to potential buyers. He's successful in both ventures.
Geneva, Aiko, and Ken return to the United Nations Company after traveling around Baleros in an attempt to get their company's name out while making money using Geneva's medical skills. Soon after, Geneva becomes aware of and begins treating those with the Yellow Rivers Disease. A nearby dungeon is overrun with snakes, threatening The Rustless Guard, an adventuring group captained by Eldima. The Bushrangers step in to help, but Ken saves the day, convincing a large number of local warriors to go and help the teams fight. Geneva performs an emergency c-section on a centauress, Miss Hastel, after other medical professionals that rely on skills are unable to help-- proving that knowledge of medicine beyond skills and levels is sometimes necessary.
Luan is working as a runner and doing well. Worried that he is having trouble remembering his wife and child he gets a tattoo of their names.
Venaz has engineered an opportunity to meet Luan secretly to offer him a job to take place in a few weeks time.
Xalandrass gets a meeting with Niers, shows Niers Earther objects, flashlights and iPhones. Niers asks for the story behind the objects, buys them, and rewards Xalandrass. Niers has caught onto the secret of the other world.
Nawalishifra gets Trey to lead her to Flos's forge, meets Daiton, Flos's forge master. She is unimpressed with Daiton's mass produced weapons due to impure steel.
Insults lead to a competition to forge a sword between Daiton and Clan Tannousin.
Octavia is begging for help but no one in the inn takes her concern seriously.
The Door traveling north with the Griffon Hunt has reached a point where it can only handle a couple trips, the Griffon Hunt, the Silver Swords and the Halfseekers decide it is time to leave the inn. Erin is distraught.
The Gold rank teams travel together a bit before they all split up, each helping out others in their own ways as they move on to new adventures.
The Horns head to Celum to look at jobs, they meet Garia who looks different.
Selys laments being newly rich. She meets up with some childhood friends and they go to the market. Selys is thinking about buying a bag of holding, her friends want her to buy them new cloths. An argument ensues.
A merchant gives Selys advice on navigating wealth, before making some sales and then other merchants descend on her.
Selys is battling some issues relating to hording and wealth, Tekshia come over to her apartment gives good advice and tell Selys the story of how she lost her wealth.
Octavia is asking Krshia for help with her problem is ignored again.
Krshia talks with Selys, about issues with the city, dungeon and ineffectiveness of Liscor's council, leading to Krishia's idea to change the council selection to a vote. Selys agrees and they go to Zevara who likes the idea.
The Bushrangers are taking a contract on giant serpents from the new dungeon with the Rustless Guard.
United Nations officers go over the finances, things are looking up.
Paige shows Daly the bombs she made, both are terrified of them, Daly want more made.
Luan returns, stories are exchanged, Daly confirms that all members are having issues remerging family from Earth.
The Featherfolk Brigade come to request Daly and Geneva to talk with their leader Fezimet, who tries to get information from them before desiding there are not a threat and allow them to operate in his city, but they will have to pay for the honor.
United Nations leadership meet debriefing on the Featherfolk meeting and Luan tells them of the upcoming job from Venaz, leadership votes to try to get some connection with the Forgotten Wing Company if possible. Daly does not inform them that they are making bombs.
Chapter shows and follows Niers' Advanced Students.
Advanced students go over their homework with each other, before begin called down to see the new academy students.
Niers has the new students experience combat by having them participate in a war game under Venaz. Venaz uses the new students as decoys and charges Niers' command tent. Niers is not there and wins the war game.
Students return to class. Topics include the homework, the mock battle with Venaz, Olesm's latest chess magazine that positively mentions goblins.
Niers discusses the upcoming game coming up in two days, the Advanced Students go drinking and talk about preparations.
Everyone arrives in Daquin. Niers meets with city council and Wistram mages. Wistram will be broadcasting the games. Niers introduces the seeker for the game Tulm the Mithril. Tulm's presence is enough to cow the students, but Niers gives a speech, without skills, to rally the students.
Then the game starts. Luan enters Daquin breaking the Iron Vanguard blockade, Venaz is not at the meetup location, Luan is about to be apprehended when some students make a break for it. The Vanguard fairly easily captures the early runners showing off Xol, some divisions and some gold rank adventures. All advanced class students stay hidden gathering info during the early movements. Niers' officer classes take an advantageous skirmish, after trying to get Nier's to comment he starts talking over the commentors not letting a work in and advertising his students to the world. Tuln is forced to get serious.
Venaz locates Luan, Wil calls in 4 warships of drowned men to break the Iron Vanguard blockade and delivers hundreds of knights including his sister's Summer Knight order
Venaz gets his package from Luan, Marian hires Luan to help out as he can.
Wil takes control of the forces he brought and advances into the city. Venaz dons his armor he, Marian, Umina and Luan continue, through the fog, take out a few patrols, Luan gets healers to hide the four from an Iron Vanguard patrol.
Some students get close to victory but are captured, Umina runs off to try her own plan, Venaz and Marian group up with Wil. Feshi bows out to rallies the citizenry of Daquin, in exchange for Wil sending trade caravans to Gnoll lands. Luan has an idea to use children against Xol. A final charge to the plaza Venaz, Marian and Wil leading it.
Umina wins, having had Nightmen dig a tunnel 12 ft from the nearest latrine to the circle while all the mages were too occupied with the battle to be scanning for tunneling.
Niers announces rewards for many students, Umina winning the main prize but others getting some rewards, Wil also gets to ask a question.
Tulm pulls the Iron Vanguard out of the city. He, Xol and the Seer of Steel debrief on a warship trying to figure out why Niers' would risk so much on a game. Xol puts out a bounty to rough up Luan and break his boat, in response for Luan putting children in danger.
Luan and the students talk as Luan gets paid. Luan extols Geneva's ability, the students invite her to the school.
Niers is pleased, the whole game was a setup to get a meeting with United Nations company with no one thinking he desired it.
Thomast cools down Bethal stopping her from an immediate warpath. Bethal goes for a ride, gets jumped by assassins, Thomast and Farmer Lupp kill all but one.
Lupp shows off his corn, he and Bethal talk as she calms down, she is appalled that he sells the corn for so little, she insists on buying it a higher price.
Bethal and Thomast return to Reizmelt, and hire Ryoka to run to Walta to report to the Order of the Petal's master. Ryoka makes the run quick enough to be considered for a courier, she out runs 3 ambushes.
Ressa does morning rounds at the mansion watching over the staff.
Magnolia and Ressa tour her lands the first village they visit misused the funds given to rebuild, the second took the money and stated a textile industry. Magnolia and Ressa discuss her methods of rule and improvement, giving people the change to rise or fall but helping directly.
Magnolia and her ladies all receive black roses and are attacked by assassins. Ladies Zanthia, Wuvren, Pryde all display their charators and skills as Ladies as they defeat the assassins sent at them. The Assassins guild is no longer in Magnolia's pocket.
Magnolia starts making moves using a skill to declare a trade war and spreading some secrets around.
Erin, Mrsha and Lyonette are enjoying the onset of spring. While the 3rd floor and tower are still damaged, the second and ground floors are all repaired, Erin is doing better mentally and grass is growing on the inn's hilltop thanks to Mrsha's magic. Lyonette is still in charge as Erin is taking time off.
Erin finds blue fruit trees have started to fruit.
Olesm is inundated with letters from his chess magazine, most are unhappy with his thoughts on Goblins. After dissection with the inn's guests Olesm and Pisces go to Pallass to write a response.
The inn hears of protests happening in Liscor, apparently instigated by Krshia. Liscor citizens are unhappy with the Council after hearing Krshia's arguments and start pushing for elections.
Klbkch is going over reporst from the hive. Zevara and Selys meet with Klbkch to get Antinium support for the election plan. He supports the plan but still pushes some extra concessions.
Pawn is still depressed from the losses at the Goblin Lord's assault on Liscor. through meeting some new autonomous worker units he relies that he has been too far removed and missed much. In talking with Belgrade and Anand Pawn realizes how much they have changed and how different they think than he does, talking with Belgrade, Belgrade has a mini panic attack Pawn takes him and a patrol to the inn.
The Free Queen speaks to Bird and Garry trying to explain what the Antinium were, and the history of the flight from Rhir. Bird shows that he can mentally hear the Free Queen, like a True Antinium would.
Lism makes a push to prevent Krshia's election. Yellow Splatters is reveled to have undergone the Rite of Anastases. He has a new body, can speak and is introduced as an Antinium hero. Yellow Splatters says he saw Antinium Heaven.
Embria has a day off and spends it with Relc. The day starts off well but she end up asking him to rejoin the army and it goes down hill, and Erin's small talk with Embria does not help.
Embria halving a bad day has nothing to do, ends up sparing with Yvlon who talks to her about Erin and tells her about Relc's achievements and what he does for the city. Embria does not apricate meeting Ksmvr.
Relc meets up with Embria at the Adventure's Guild, they do not agree on anything, they start an intense spear warmup, that impresses all, then they spar, that helps breakdown the wall between them.
They clean up, start talking and listening to each other return to the inn, and actually connect.
Ilvriss is settling back in in Salazsar. He reads of Liscor's elections, choose to sit back and wait till Erin makes a move.
Erin has gathering in her inn introducing Licorians to Pallassians, the two sides start up a dialog between them. Maughin, Grimalkin, Relc discuss making workout weights a real product.
Erin displays her food innovations to the Pallass crowd, Licaorians get the chance to feel superior as they have had this food for months, Erin starts selling them a huge mark up.
Antinium arrive at the inn for construction, Pallassian watch is angry, Erin enforces a peace. Liscorians are appalled at Pallass disgust of their Antinium and impressed at the efficacy of their construction.
Zevara tells Calruz about what is happening at the inn. Calruz mentions that what she has done hasn't changed the logic of the election but has emotionally appealed to many. He wants to know when he will be executed, Zevara is unsure if something was influencing him in the dungeon.
Manus's council discuss the Battle of Liscor and the fall out. They are going to respond to the north in someway. A grand threat, a Witch from Terandria is moving and they are worried where she may go.
Durene is trying to recover in Riverfarm, continuing to wake up delirious. After about 5 days as she sees it she has started to recover, she speaks with the healer who is impressed with her constitution. It turns out Durene has been recovering for 51 days, the battle with the goblins is long over as is the battle at Liscor. Laken is not back yet, though he is headed home. Riverfarm has grown 3-4x in that time.
Wiskeria has resigned as Riverfarm's general is morning the losses due to her order, and is being pestered by a witch to join her. Durene and Wiskeria argue and get understand each other better.
Lady Rie discusses problems brought on by the expanding Riverfarm, not least of which is a possible revolt of people from Lancrel who seem to believe that Riverfarm and work are beneath them.
Octavia is being shaken down by a rival alchemist with a gang.
Numbtongue starts his day mining and testing out his skills, he found a large nugget of gold. A day after Erin's introduction of Pallass to Liscor the Inn is still packed and Numbtongue feels unwelcome, he is still not allowed to enter Liscor.
Painted Soldiers are still clearing out Shield Spider nests, one soldier falls into deep mud and starts to drown. Numbtongue is able to get to the soldier and detonate a tripvine bag on the two of them allowing other soldiers to pull them out saving the drowning soldier. Numbtongue and Yellow Splatters meet and connect over the Battle of Liscor.
Numbtongue and Yellow Splatters have lunch in the Inn, comparing and mixing foods. They have a discussions on small things and on how neither Goblins or Antinium really have a concept of friend, its either those in the Hive or Tribe and those outside of it. They end up talking for hours.
A drake guest goes off insulting Numbtongue Erin gets Relc to throw him out. Numbtongue and Yellow Splatters speak on matters like how other races view them and fighting techniques as Numbtongue teaches Yellow Splatters about goblin traps.
Numbtongue tells Yellow Splatters he should try using potions, they decide to visit Octavia.
Octavia is being attacked by the other alchemist's gang, going to drive her out of town. Numbtongue and Yellow Splatters fight the gang, it goes ok until the gangs reinforcements show, a Brother of Serendipity helps them out as more gang members appear. Pyrite's memories come to Numbtongue who starts using Pyrite's fighting style and abilities and the fight goes their way. The Celum watch finally appears and want to arrest the two. Erin comes in furious at the treatment of Numbtongue and brings leaders and gold ranks of Liscor and Pallass to Celum.
The Brother of Serendipity speaks with Numbtongue and learns that his associates died when the goblins saw them stealing from the inn. He says he has no quarrel with them then but is interested why his people were not warned of a goblin threat, the Sister of Chell is less forgiving.
Erin works to settle thing positively for her friends and apologizes to Octavia for not listening to her or taking her concerns seriously. She has lets Octavia stay in the Inn for now. Keldrass still does not appreciate goblins him and Numbtongue get into an argument with Numbtongue telling everyone they can have the golden nugget if they fetch it, like a pet. Numbtongue starts writing a new song and levels up, now able communicate with Pyrite.
Durene and Wiskeria go around Riverfarm seeing it as it is and seeing the unrest bellow the surface.
Ryoka and Charlay find bandits on the way to Riverfarm. Alevica takes down the bandits.
Wiskeria tells Durene a bit about Witch magic and brews a magic stew to help people in Riverfarm, a citizen ruins the stew and Mavika arrives matching discourtesy with discourtesy.
Witches are arrive in Riverfarm, Califor teaching Nanette as she interrupts some bandits as Alevica brings the Darksky Riders to finish the bandits. Eloise conducts a tea party between disparate factions in Riverfarm.
At Elmmet's trial an Hedag comes and reveals Elmmet's sins, they are horrible, then executes him.
As Ryoka gets near she meets Belavierr, around dead bodies presumably bandits, and asks Ryoka for directions to Riverfarm.
The witches convene a Coven telling Wiskeria that 20 witches were murdered not too long ago and their bodies/ clothes were used in some ritual, someone is hunting witches.
Erin is still trying to get people of Pallass to connect with her friends and help them. Grimalkin is the first to notice her manipulation of the situation, then Xif uses a skill to force her to sell a Faerie Flower that she did not want to, Rufelt and Lasica admit to having noticed as well, then Chaldion appears and beats Erin in chess, with a skill.
Grimalkin agrees to give the Horns of Hammerad a consultation and has them attack him.
Grimalkin bout with the Horns of Hammerad leads into him discussing their issues and how they can improve, leading to him and Pisces trying to boil Ceria to force her to improve her ice magic.
Prost settles down the crowd, declaring the execution of Elmmet just, and allowing the witches to stay in Riverfarm and practice their craft as long as they obey the laws and don't injure citizens.
Ryoka speaks with the Riverfarm leadership, gets a feel of what is going on from Durene.
The Witches convene and discuss their issues. The Circle of Thorns is hunting witches, the witches in the Marsh Coven refused to help them hex Magnolia, the Circle have killed many witches in the past. The Witches are hoping to get Sanctuary in Riverfarm from Laken.
Durene shows Ryoka and Charlay around Riverfarm, they visit the farms and Witch Mavika comes to the farmers with a bargin, Ryoka help get it done. Lady Rie meets with Eloise who is trying to coax Rehanna to her, however Belavierr gets to her first and offers her a deal.
A suspicious stranger is outside of Riverfarm asking and warning about Witches.
Ryoka gets some ideas of things to do while talking with the people of Riverfarm. With Lady Rie and Charlay she starts a runners guild, allowing for more commination between Riverfarm and the outside world. They send Charlay to Filk to announce the change and get information on the witches. Durene is upset as she is expecting bigger ideas.
Ryoka decides she should speak with Belavierr, she speaks with Wiskeria, Califor and Eloise beforehand they give her a primer on witches. She speaks with Belavierr, she does not get much but fear.
Ryoka runs to the near by small settlements and sees the results of bandits and the people's fear, she decides to convince Riverfarm to help them out. She also tells Durene that she needs to think for herself that if she is nothing without Laken, she cannot give him anything.
Ryoka convinces Riverfarm to send aid to the surrounding settlements they convince many to move to Riverfarm, the final wagon is attacked by bandits, they are targeting Wiskeria, there appears to be a bounty on witches, Wiskeria, Durene and Bismarck destroy most of the bandits, Beniar's riders finish them.
Fierre learns the information broker that in Charlay visited in Filk found information on Belavierr and is worried how he will use it.
Laken is still traveling back to Riverfarm, he is roughly 2 weeks away but weather is slowing them down. He is trying to get to know the golbins, they will not speak with him, but he gives them his iPhone and sees what music they play. Laken ponders over the witches and what Belavierr has done.
Fierre is worried over what the information broker has found and what he may do with it, in case it puts Ryoka in danger. She hires thugs to beat him, they find him dead by a curse, having told some one about Belavierr.
Talia returns to the Order of Seasons's headquarters after the Games in Daquin. She arrives to the Grand Master's office to find that the Order believes they may have located Belavierr.
Fierre spends 2-3 days worried about Ryoka and seeing the Order of Seasons bounty rising, she does not go after it for fear of the curse getting her. After so many days awake she while updating her notes on Riverfarm she accidentally triggers the curse she survives, thanks to being a vampire, and sends the message to the Order. They decide to send Ser Raim and a small team to hunt the witch. Laken gets a burning vision of destruction and knows he will return to late.
All of Riverfarm is on edge due to Rehanna's deal. A witch hunter approaches Ryoka while she is on a run, while talking she teases out some is odd about him, she is ambushed as he has a team with him and they decide to kill her. Califor saves her, the leader escapes the rest die.
Durene and Ryoka discuss therapy and debate the Rehanna deal, Wiskeria goes to check on Rehanna who is truly happy, speaks with Belavierr tell her that she hates her. The next day Beatica tries to confront Belavierr about Rehanna with a crowd, she unwinds all of their clothing. Ryoka tries to speak with Belavierr, Belavierr sews her mouth shut.
Insite into Hedag's and Califor's crafts, showing in some ways Califor can challenge Belavierr.
A day later the Order of Seasons do their Grand Ritual sending Sir Raim and 6 hunters to Riverfarm. Belavierr just walks off as they attack, until one hunter takes Wiskeria hostage, against the honor of all the others Belavierr turns and duel Raim, while the Fae watch.
Raim and Belavierr fight, in the first exchange Raim is able to burn through enough of her defenses and immortality and are able to mark her.
Belavierr summons a horde of stich monstrosities to attach the hunters and calls two Terandrian kingdoms to attack the Order of Seasons. The Order decides to send 32 knights to support Raim.
Durene supports Raim. The witches force the Hunters and Belavierr to safeguard Riverfarm, and Belavierr and Wiskeria have a bit of a heart to heart.
The battle goes through the night with the hunters and Raim sleeping and the Order reinforcements holding Belavierr at bay. Belavierr had a deal with a hunter who betrays the hunters killing all but Raim. Raim confronts Belavierr threatening her daughter, the loss of the hunters and the press of Kaliv forces the Order to stop their attack on Belavierr. Raim forsakes the Order to attack Belavierr burning the rest of his life in one final attempt to end her. As he dies she mentions there is another death coming for her.
Despite the season Riverfarm has not seen rain in a while, while the lands around it are in constant rain. Tyrion gets his people to cast a weather change spell, but it is undone within a day.
Clean up occurs around Riverfarm after the Order of Seasons battle with Belavierr, Belavierr says another trial is coming.
While Belavierr and Wiskeria have an argument about her lack of a craft when a magical arrow hits Belavierr.
The next day the odd witch hunters poisons Alevica, she is saves as Wiskeria grows on her path. As the days get worse Laken gets close enough he can see his lands, he cannot find the witch hunters but does find a winged drake, with many scrolls, burning a village.
The drake around Riverfarm starts setting fires all around creating giant wildfires as other's in other noble's lands start causing similar havoc.
Wiskeria declares justice to be her craft, Laken sees there is nothing for him to do but watch his people burn. The witches decide to try a grand working in hopes of saving Riverfarm, the witches are able to call great rain but magic called in from Manus ends the rain and leaves Belavierr very injured, but a day is gained till the fire will reach Riverfarm.
Many discussions about the situation, Califor stifles many fires but it is not enough.
As the next day dawns Califor flees with Nanette as does Belavierr, Wiskeria does not and the other witches try too late. Califor and Belavierr meet outstide the fire both say they know only one way to stop the fire but neither is willing to pay the price, they clash as Belavierr wants to force the issue to save Wiskeria.
Ryoka runs at a fire tornado to divert it from Riverfarm. Califor dies drawing all the fire to her, having been forced into a deal with Belavierr who was threating Nanette. Belavierr declares herself to be the opposition that will drive Wiskeria forward to greatness.
Laken returns to Riverfarm, everyone starts rebuilding, Laken sends witches to help Lord Gralton and his dogs.
Laken and Ryoka finally have time to talk, they speak of what has happened, goblins, plans for the future and Laken mentions that Ivolethe is alive.
Laken decides to allow witches sanctuary. The witches conduct a ritual to contact Califor's spirit, they do, she tries to console Nanette and tells the witches that something is wrong in the afterlife, something is praying on the dead.
As Ryoka leaves, Belavierr reaches out to Ryoka to offer her a deal to get information on how to see Ivolethe again.
Toren has built a replica of the inn, along with a zombie playing Erin, and appears to be torturing himself for killing Erin. He has gotten bored with killing for no reason and concluded that he regrets Erin's death. As the other Toren takes control and start exploring the dungeon the undead in the back room escape.
Gemhammer has hired Vuliel Drae to guard them as they strip the trap rooms for valuables it looks like Gemhammer will make a lot. Bevussa comes by to inform them that teams will be pushing in the dungeon proper again Vuliel Drae agree to go, Bevussa asks if they can contact the masked adventurer, the guild wants to speak with them.
While exploring Toren follow a Flesh Worm to a new fortified part of the dungeon, where Suits of Armor are being repaired. She also runs in to Snatcher and Nokha in her wanderings.
Ijvani has been mopping in the Liscor floodplain hopping to hear from her master, she finds and captures the Healing Slime and decides to wait in the fortress beaver cave.
Toren finds Vuliel Drae in the dungeon helps them out, Bevussa tries to force off Toren's mask but an undead attack interrupts. In the battle Toren sees an wailing pit try to consume the Erin zombie, and both Toren's start to work together to help defeat it. The adventuring teams see Toren giving over the zombie and believe that she is living in the dungeon because she is in shock after her team died, the decide to leave her. As the adventures leave Toren overhears them mention The Wandering Inn and Miss Solstice.
Ilvriss is back in Salazsar reintegrating into the life of a wall lord speaking with other lords and his father. Ilvriss discusses his plans to combat Az'kerash with Osthia Blackwing, they have a lot of work to do. Afterword he speaks with his siter and mother, who unbenosed to him are part of the group reaching out to Magnolia. He goes to speak with Periss's parents.
Pisces is studying while his team negotiates with others. Az'kerash contacts him.
Az'kerash takes time from his whale experiment and his consciousness come back into the world and he cheches up on the last three months, then checks in on Pisces.
Pisces shows off his skeleton with a crossbow like weapon, then inadvertently insults Az'kerash, who finds he is actually annoyed by the young necromancer. The unexpected emotion and his overhearing of a food called pizza have him investigate the inn and actually try cooking for the first time in decades. For reasons he does not know he continues to watch Pisces seeing a young man having a place in the world and finding fun. He then tries again on his search to create life so his Chosen could level.
Foliana and Niers start their day arguing about Foliana's pilfering of Niers' things. Niers gives Foliana intel on an assassin after him who is going to try to plant a bomb to kill him.
Foliana scouts out Niers' class, invisibly and Niers uses it as a lesson about handling infiltrators.
Using her food trick Foliana narrows her search to a Naga hiding in a brothel, goes to investigate. She ends up dragging a number of the Titan's students to a brothel, she entertains herself by pouring buckets of cold water on patrons of the brothel before eliminating the target Naga.
She and Niers end their day with Foliana saying that the city is hers.
The Players of Celum are traveling north, preforming in new places growing their brand. Internally they are debating what it means to be actors and if they should be modernizing the Shakespeare plays. Jasi bemoans the lack of heroic roll for women.
They preform in a village showing there version, using skills they are using real violence to add to their plays. The village loves the plays the troupe to stay an extra day to preform.
They reach Invrisil, while settling in two members are mugged and the players learn that another group has stollen their plays and started doing preferences about month earlier. They decide to combat them by out preforming them, which they do. During the afterparty the gang that mugged the two members earlier attacks the inn hosting the party, they are run off with the help of Eltistiman, who ends up joining.
The building of the road around the Blood Fields is continuing well, Erin visits and is thrown off the job site after she retaliates against someone slapping her butt.
Palt is trying to ingratiate himself with Erin doing some cooking, he offers her his faction's protection and Lyonette forces Erin to take the offer.
Montressa still having nightmares orders her team to stalk the Horns of Hammerad. While scouting the Horns end up building a bone chariot with ice wheel pulled by skeleton horses. Another scouting team is hit will an unknown pollen from the Blood fields that charms or confuses them into entering. The Horns rush in to save them but end up overwhelmed as the try to get back out, Montressa's has her team save the adventures.
A day after the pollen attack from the Blood Fields work has resumed with twice as many silver rank team to provide security. Palt has convinced his faction to ally with Erin and will tell Montressa that the teams mission will change. Despite Horns of Hammerad's selfless act the day before Montressa is still obsessed with capturing Pisces.
Ijvani is monitoring Montressa Az'kerash knowing that the Pisces bounty will be reduced and she will be ordered back. Montressa hearing her orders will be rescinded decides to take action before the orders reach her. Pisces make a plea for himself Montressa rejects it and he calls for a duel, the Horns support him versus the mages.
In the dungeon Toren attacks the teams with undead, allowing him to sneak out of the dungeon.
As the duel veers toward consequences crelers erupt out of the blood fields, thousands of larvae, hundreds of juniors and an Adult. Most of the adventuring teams including the Horns realize they are too far from the door and it is not open, they decide to make a stand in hope of allowing some to get through the door.
In the Inn Erin's danger sense goes off with her not knowing what is causing it she tries to alert all around and finally opens the door to the blood fields, most of the workers are able to escape though but the crelers flood in as well. Most are able to escape, and Liscor's wall spells force the crelers to hold up in the inn. Liscor retakes the inn, using Calruz as the sacrificial point man. The inn is reclaimed and Liscor and Pallass prepare for an assault on the adult creler, it has been an hour since the attack began.
The Horns go to the guild and are surprised with a promotion to gold rank and a party. Discussions about the dead, other teams and level ups occur.
Olesm buts together a baseball field and teams start playing.
Montressa tells the Horns she is done hunting them, Ulinde goes to join the Halfseekers. Seborn gives Jelaqua an ultimatum to keep adventuring of stay with Maughin, upset they debate and agree to work around Pallass if Jelaqua will adventure. The Horns decide finish the trip taking the door to Invrisil, stating that they will start working around there.
Erin melancholy that her friends are growing and leaving her returns to her ruined inn, Toren is waiting for her.
